Dr. Jonathan L. Hook is ABFAS® Board Certified in Foot Surgery and Reconstructive Rearfoot/Ankle Surgery (RRA). He received comprehensive training in the operative and non-operative management of foot and ankle disorders.
Dr. Hook completed a three-year surgical residency at Mercy Hospital and Medical Center in Chicago. He received his Doctorate degree in Podiatric Medicine and Master’s Degree in Healthcare Administration from Rosalind Franklin University. Dr. Hook earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Bradley University.
Dr. Hook places a strong emphasis on evidence-based medicine and individualizing the care of each patient to ensure successful outcomes. He provides all treatment options including preventative care, conservative management, and operative intervention. Dr. Hook is trained in all aspects of foot and ankle care and has a special interest in complex reconstructive procedures, sports medicine, and minimally invasive surgical techniques. His passion for the foot and ankle is clearly seen in the dedication and compassion he has for his patients.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Hook serves as the Fellowship Program Director of the Weil Foot and Ankle Surgical Fellowship. He is an active member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and the American Podiatric Medical Association.

Research
Dr. Hook is actively involved in both research and education. He has presented research posters at local and national conferences on topics ranging from Achilles ruptures to Jones fractures. Additionally, he has published papers on topics ranging from plantar fasciitis to ankle fractures. Dr. Hook believes in research-based approach on clinical practice and is constantly attending conferences on new concepts in foot and ankle surgery. He also has a special interest in education and serves as the Program Director of the Weil Foot & Ankle Surgical Fellowship.
