Dr. Amer Rifai is a podiatric physician and this year’s Fellow with Weil Foot & Ankle Institute.
He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Elmhurst College in 2019 before receiving his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from Des Moines University College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery in 2023. Dr. Rifai completed his residency at Loyola University Medical Center in 2026, where he received comprehensive training in both conservative and surgical treatment of foot and ankle conditions.
Dr. Rifai provides comprehensive foot and ankle care with expertise in both conservative and surgical treatment. His clinical interests include minimally invasive surgery, reconstructive foot and ankle surgery, bunion correction, diabetic foot care, Charcot reconstruction, pediatric foot conditions, total ankle replacement, trauma care, wound management, and revision surgery. He is committed to delivering individualized, evidence-based care that helps patients restore mobility, relieve pain, and return to their daily activities with confidence. His research interests in complex foot pathology and pediatric foot conditions further reflect his commitment to advancing patient care.
Outside of work, Dr. Rifai enjoys working out, spending time with family and friends, and discovering local hidden-gem restaurants. Dr. Rifai supports patients in English and Arabic.
