Dr. Nicolas Beci is a podiatric surgeon who specializes in foot and ankle surgery. Dr. Beci joined Weil Foot & Ankle Institute in September 2024.
Dr. Beci is well-trained in all aspects of foot and ankle surgery, graduating from a three-year residency program at the Rush University Podiatric Medicine and Surgery Residency with added credential in Reconstructive Rearfoot/Ankle Surgery. Prior to his residency, Dr. Beci graduated from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign with High Honors. After attending the University of Illinois, he attended Midwestern University, where he graduated with a Master in Arts of Biomedical Sciences. He later went onto graduate at Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine as a member of the Pi Delta Honor Society.
His treatment philosophy is conservative management with evidence-based approach to surgical intervention. Prior to surgery, Dr. Beci will use a variety of conservative approaches consisting of home physical therapy, formal physical therapy, orthotics, injections, extracorporeal shockwave therapy, braces, and lifestyle adjustments.
Dr. Beci’s specialties include bunion surgery, wound care. hammertoe correction, plantar plate repair, plantar fasciitis, biomechanics, sports medicine, tendon pathology, and ESWT.
Dr. Beci is an avid Chicago sports fan, frequently attending Chicago Bears, Bulls, Blackhawks, and White Sox games with family and friends. Dr. Beci holds a heavy emphasis on his physical fitness, working out frequently. When he is not working out, he enjoys his time golfing. Most of all, Nicolas loves spending time with his wife, newborn son, and their English Bulldog.
