Dr. John Sakla is a board-certified podiatrist who is also board-certified in foot & ankle surgery and foot surgery.
Dr. Sakla grew up in the west suburbs of Chicago, where he has lived his entire life. He attended University of Illinois at Chicago, earning a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology. Dr. Sakla is a sports and fitness enthusiast and brings his unique perspective to podiatry and his approach to patient care.
A graduate of William M. School College of Podiatric Medicine at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science, Dr. Sakla completed a residency in Podiatric Medicine and Surgery with Rear Foot Reconstruction and Ankle Surgery at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center and Rosalind Franklin University of Health and Science.
He specializes in Lapiplasty, minimally-invasive (MIS) bunion surgery, MIS foot and ankle surgery, tendon repair, trauma surgery, flatfoot reconstruction, stem cell injections, shockwave therapy, wound grafts, arthritis surgery, and fusions.
Dr. Sakla treats his patients as if they are members of his family and provides complete foot and ankle care through evidence-based medicine while utilizing the latest treatment options. He recognizes that each patient has unique needs and is committed to offering a consultative approach to treatment. His specialties include forefoot surgery and diabetic foot care.
Outside of work, Dr. Sakla enjoys staying active by working out and playing basketball. He also enjoys traveling, spending time with friends and family, cooking and grilling, trying different restaurants in Chicago, and rooting for Chicago sports teams – especially the Bears and the Bulls. He is married with two young boys.
