Dr. Cory Jacoby is a podiatrist with Weil Foot & Ankle Institute.

He earned his undergraduate degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2009, graduating with James Scholar Honors. He received his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in 2013 and completed his residency at Mercy Hospital Chicago in 2016.

Dr. Jacoby specializes in minimally invasive foot and ankle surgery, trauma, regenerative treatments, sports medicine, and bunion correction techniques including Lapiplasty®. He is a major supportive or augmenting neuroma surgery and plantar fascia release surgery with amniotic tissue grafts to reduce scarring, reduce post op pain and increase healing rates. While amputations of part of the foot are never the goal, sometimes they are necessary and Dr. Jacoby prides himself on creating functional stumps and taking the time necessary to get the best functional outcomes for these patients.

Dr. Jacoby is an advocate for patient outcomes and community health. He regularly presents at the Midwest Podiatry Conference and serves on the medical executive and surgical steering committees at his main hospital. He is also an executive council member for the state surgical society.

Dr. Jacoby is a major Chicago sports fan who hates to miss a minute of a Bears game.  When it comes to baseball, he is a diehard White Sox fan, which fills his life with grief, but he has been quoted as saying “I cannot change who I am.”

Dr. Jacoby enjoys spending time with his three children, coaching their baseball and t-ball teams, and staying active with outdoor cycling and Peloton classes. He has recently lost 75 pounds, and he openly shares his health journey with patients to inspire and support them. Dr. Jacoby is also a lifelong musician, having played piano, cello, baritone horn and guitar and bass,  and he continues to explore his love for music by playing guitar and attending concerts.
