Dr. Ali Malik is a podiatric physician with Weil Foot & Ankle Institute.
He earned his undergraduate degree in Finance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2009. He then earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from the Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in 2015. Dr. Malik completed a rigorous three-year surgical residency at St. Johns Hospital and Medical Center in Detroit, Michigan, where he received comprehensive training in reconstructive surgery, trauma, and limb salvage care.
Dr. Malik is board certified in both Foot Surgery and Reconstructive Rearfoot/Ankle Surgery by ABFAS®. He treats a wide range of foot and ankle conditions using evidence-based methods, emphasizing conservative measures like physical therapy, injections, bracing, and lifestyle changes before considering surgery. His areas of expertise include ankle sprains, fractures, and deformities, and he offers advanced techniques such as ankle arthroscopy, Lapiplasty® bunion correction, external fixation, and complex reconstructive procedures.
Outside of clinical work, Dr. Malik enjoys spending time with his wife and four young children. He stays active by playing basketball, doing CrossFit, and staying involved in family activities. A lifelong fan of the Chicago Bears, he is passionate about helping patients get back to an active lifestyle, pain-free.
