Balance Health Surgical Fellowship Program
At Balance Health, we believe in supporting the future of dedicated podiatrists.
At Balance Health, we believe in supporting the future of dedicated podiatrists. As such, we have developed a standardized Surgical Fellowship program that teaches a variety of facets of Podiatric Medicine. In addition to gaining exposure to all aspects of podiatric surgery, fellows will learn directly from a Dermatopathologist at Balance Health’s own Dermatopathology Lab. Our program allows fellows to graduate with the clinical and surgical skills needed to not just function – but excel – in today’s private practice setting.
The program is offered at multiple locations throughout the country to help support a wider base of fellows. While the specific duties may vary by location, each fellow will receive…
- Surgical skill-building at all levels
- Training with the Balance Health team comprised of well-versed attending physicians and nationally recognized surgeons
- Fellowship-based clinical experience
- Continuity management training for patients transitioning between the office, hospital, and surgery
- Training on billing and coding principles
- Exposure to fellow-focused surgical labs
- Research support and publishing opportunities
- Access to a Multi-center Journal Club
- Education on and training on prescribing durable medical equipment (DME), such as orthotics and braces
- Knowledge of dermatopathology evaluation and sampling with our Balance Health Dermatopathologist
- Admittance to Balance Health doctor educational Zoom meeting(s) and the annual Balance Health seminar (if coverage allows).
