Dr. Karen Anderson is a podiatrist with Balance Health.
She earned her undergraduate degree in Biology from Tusculum College in 1985. She completed her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine at Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in 1989. Dr. Anderson finished her residency at Northern Virginia Residency Program in 1991.
Dr. Anderson specializes in lower extremity nerve compression conditions. She focuses on diagnosing and treating persistent pain after trauma or surgeries that lack an obvious cause. As a member of the Association of Extremity Nerve Surgeons, she practices and teaches the Scratch-Collapse technique—a diagnostic method for locating subclinical nerve entrapments used to address chronic pain. Though she no longer performs surgery, Dr. Anderson offers several regenerative medicine therapies and hydro-dissection injections to treat neurological entrapments. She has practiced in San Diego for over 35 years.
Outside of work, Dr. Anderson enjoys traveling, photography, and music.
