Dr. Harris Kaplan is a podiatric physician with SoCal Foot Care.
He earned his undergraduate degree in Communications with a minor in Web Design from West Chester University in 2003. Dr. Kaplan received his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine in 2011 and completed his residency training at Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, New York in 2014.
Dr. Kaplan is a board-certified podiatrist with more than 12 years of experience providing comprehensive foot and ankle care in both hospital and private practice settings. He manages a high volume of patients while delivering individualized, patient-centered treatment. He specializes in both surgical and non-surgical management of foot and ankle conditions, including bunion surgery, minimally invasive surgery, rearfoot reconstruction, sports injuries, diabetic foot care, and foot and ankle trauma. His surgical experience includes flatfoot reconstruction, Achilles tendon repair, ankle arthroscopy, ligament reconstruction, hammertoe correction, fracture repair, and a variety of forefoot and rearfoot procedures.
Originally from the New York area, Dr. Kaplan is excited to begin this new chapter in San Diego and looks forward to serving the local community. Outside of the office, he enjoys spending time with his wife and their three children who keep him happily busy. He is passionate about staying active and enjoys sports, hiking, swimming, trying new foods, attending live music events, and exploring new places. With San Diego’s year-round sunshine, they are especially excited to embrace an outdoor lifestyle on the West Coast.
