Dr. Michael Amedeo is a podiatric physician with University Foot & Ankle Institute.

He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Maryland, College Park in 2018 before receiving his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from Western University of Health Sciences in 2023. Dr. Amedeo completed his residency at Intermountain Medical Center in Murray, Utah in 2026.

Dr. Amedeo provides comprehensive foot and ankle care with expertise in both conservative and surgical treatment. His clinical interests include sports medicine, reconstructive foot and ankle surgery, minimally invasive procedures, bunion correction, diabetic foot care, trauma care, wound management, regenerative treatments, and revision surgery. Having experienced sports-related injuries while competing in track and soccer, he understands firsthand the impact foot and ankle conditions can have on an active lifestyle. He is passionate about helping patients recover from injury, restore mobility, and return to the activities they enjoy through individualized, evidence-based treatment plans. His research background in lower extremity anatomy and regenerative medicine further complements his patient-centered approach to care.

Outside of work, Dr. Amedeo enjoys trying new restaurants, especially sushi, along with skiing, hiking, traveling, tennis, pickleball, and supporting his favorite Washington, D.C. sports teams. During high school and college, he worked for his hometown minor league baseball team, the Frederick Keys. He is excited to return to Southern California, where he previously lived during medical school.
