Dr. David Gent is a podiatric physician with Integrative Foot & Ankle Centers of Washington.

He earned a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology with minors in Pre-Medicine and Chemistry from Brigham Young University in 1995 before receiving his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from Barry University School of Graduate Medical Sciences in 2000. Dr. Gent completed both a Podiatric Medical Residency and a Podiatric Surgical Residency at Benedictine Hospital in Kingston, New York, finishing his surgical residency in 2002. He relocated to Bremerton, Washington in 2002, where he has been a long-time resident.

Dr. Gent provides comprehensive foot and ankle care with expertise in both conservative and surgical treatment. His clinical interests include reconstructive foot surgery, minimally invasive surgery, diabetic foot care, sports medicine, regenerative treatments, wound care, pediatric podiatry, shockwave therapy, and biomechanical correction of foot and ankle disorders. He has particular expertise in HyProCure® subtalar joint stabilization, Ehlers-Danlos syndrome and hypermobility stabilization, custom orthotic therapy, and gait analysis. Dr. Gent is committed to helping patients understand the underlying cause of their condition and developing personalized treatment plans that improve function, mobility, and long-term foot health through both conservative and surgical care.

Outside of work, Dr. Gent enjoys hiking, skiing, kayaking, whale watching, gardening, beekeeping, traveling, and humanitarian work through Doctors Abroad. He has lived in Italy and spent time in Brazil, experiences that fostered an appreciation for other cultures and languages. He enjoys studying human biomechanics and spending time with his wife, twin daughters, son-in-law, and grandchildren.
