Bay Area Foot Care – FAQs
FAQs
Our doctors open their practices to new patients as they can accommodate doing so and this can change frequently. Please call the office for the current status.
Yes, we do. Please call the location you are interested in visiting directly and the office staff will do our best to accommodate.
As part of our new patient registration process, we verify that your unique policy is active. Bay Area Foot Care participates with most insurance plans.
Brown and Toland patients do not need a referral to see our doctors. If you are a HMO member of Hill Physicians, or another plan that requires a referral to see a Specialist, contact your Primary Care Physician to speak with them about your need to see a Specialist. They can refer you to the proper Specialist and generate the necessary paperwork.
Parking is available at all of our locations. Most offer free parking or ample street parking. Our San Francisco office has a paid parking lot available as well.
Yes, we have in office digital X-ray performed by our medical staff and evaluated by your doctor at the time of visit.
Unfortunately, we do not make home visits.
Depending on the location, Bay Area Foot Care does accept country MediCal plans.
Yes, we do! We have Sciton laser for treatment of fungal nails and MLS cold laser for pain. For fungal nails, the laser technology heats the nail and nail bed with laser energy resulting in a decrease of nail fungus and an increase in the growth of clear nails. Our MLS laser therapy is an innovative treatment to rapidly reduce pain for minor, acute, and chronic injuries.
While we offer the initial consultation without charge, the procedure itself is not covered by most insurance carriers. In some cases, the procedure is covered as an eligible medical expense under flexible spending accounts or health savings accounts. Check with your individual carrier for verification.
