Dr. Steven N. Klein is a caring podiatrist with over 30 years of experience.
He attained his doctorate of podiatric medicine from Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine, along with podiatric surgery training at Lindell Hospital. He completed his residency at Kindred Hospital in St. Louis.
Dr. Klein and his team provide a compassionate, gentle approach to patients of all ages. They support a wide variety of foot and ankle conditions, such as bunions, foot and ankle sprains, diabetic foot and wound care, toenail problems, neuromas, sports injuries, worker’s compensation injuries, and much more. Dr. Klein always emphasizes non-surgical treatments first when possible.
In addition to time-tested conservative and surgical treatments for relief of foot and ankle pain, Dr. Klein also offers newer regenerative procedures like stem cells, PRP, and Shockwave. These newer procedures allow Dr. Klein to deliver, in selected cases, alternatives to surgery and other invasive procedures with the added benefit of reduced down time for his patients.
Dr. Klein has established himself as an expert in the treatment of Plantar Fibromas, otherwise known as Ledderhose Disease. Plantar fibromas are benign nodules of fibrous tissue that develop on the bottom of the foot that can grow to a significant size and cause discomfort when standing or walking. As there is no permanent cure, pain relief is vital for those who suffer from it. Dr. Klein has developed a tried-and-true non-surgical treatment to help relieve the pain, thanks to his years of practicing podiatry. His treatment protocol includes shockwave therapy, injections, ultrasonic imaging, and custom orthotics. If you suffer from plantar fibromas, he can help!
Dr. Klein remains active in the field and is a fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, and board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Foot and Ankle Surgery. He is also a member of the American Association of Podiatric Sports Medicine and is certified in Diagnostic Ultrasonography, Ankle Arthroscopy, as well as Radiography and Fluoroscopy.
He specializes in regenerative podiatry, stem cells, PRP, Shockwave therapy (deep ultrasound treatment), reconstructive surgery, and sports medicine.
Outside of work, Dr. Klein is married with two grown children. He enjoys sailing and mountain biking.
Dr. Klein supports patients in both English and Spanish.
