Dr. Sahra Sellers grew up just outside of Portland, Oregon. She attended the University of Oregon and graduated with honors in chemistry and mathematics. Although her initial career aspirations involved laboratory research, she missed the everyday interactions with people and decided to leave the lab for a career in medicine. Dr. Sellers continued her education at the California School of Podiatric Medicine at Samuel Merritt in Oakland, CA, where she spent four years specializing in the foot and ankle. She completed medical school with honors from the Pi Delta National Honor Society.
Dr. Sellers completed a three-year foot and ankle surgical residency at the Veterans Hospital in Palo Alto. The residency program involved hands-on training at Stanford Medical Center, Kaiser Medical Foundation, and various private offices and surgical centers around the Bay Area. During her training, she was able to participate in a medical mission trip to Vietnam with the International Extremity Project. There she assisted with more than 40 life-changing surgeries for the people of Can Tho. Her well-rounded training makes Dr. Sellers an expert in all areas of foot and ankle pathology including sports medicine and injuries, pedal dermatology, reconstruction foot surgery, and diabetic foot care.
Over the past 11 years Dr. Sellers has been working in the private practice setting in and around San Francisco. She has refined and perfected her medical craft with a strong focus on patient education. Dr. Sellers has a unique patient-centered practice style and focuses on preventive health. She prides herself on thorough and accurate diagnostics and excellent patient communication.
Dr. Sellers is well versed in all areas of foot and ankle health and welcomes all new and returning patients.
