Michael Cornelison, DPM, FACFAS

Dr. Michael Cornelison is an advanced reconstructive foot surgery specialist who emphasizes preventive care for his patients. He has been practicing in Cupertino, CA, since 2000 and creates individualized treatment programs for his patients to recover quickly and efficiently.

Dr. Cornelison graduated as valedictorian from the Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in 1997. He completed his residency in foot and ankle surgery at INOVA Fairfax Hospital, Virginia in 2000, receiving the John Grad Memorial Award as its outstanding graduate that year. He is board certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery® and is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.

Dr. Cornelison has comprehensive training in all aspects of foot and ankle surgery, including reconstruction, arthroscopy, trauma, and limb salvage. He also has extensive training in diabetic lower extremity reconstructive and limb salvage surgery from Georgetown University.

Dr. Cornelison formerly served as President of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons (ACFAS), which had over 7,900 foot and ankle surgeons. He is also Past-Chief of the Department of Podiatric Medicine at El Camino Hospital in Mountain View and Past-President of the Santa Clara Valley Podiatric Medical Society. In addition, Dr. Cornelison is a clinical faculty member of the Primary Sports Medicine Fellowship of the San Jose-O’Connor Family Medicine Residency Program.

In his spare time, Dr. Cornelison enjoys soccer, music, and motorsports.
