Dr. Joe Albright is a board-certified, fellowship-trained foot and ankle surgeon who joined The Foot Doctors of Santa Cruz County in 2021. Dr. Albright is native to Santa Cruz county, growing up in Corralitos and attending St. Francis High School in Watsonville.

Dr. Albright graduated from The University of Notre Dame, Indiana, with a bachelor’s degree in History and finishing in Pre-Professional Studies. He then went on to Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine in Independence, Ohio, where he earned his Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine. Following graduation, he completed his surgical residency with reconstructive rearfoot and ankle certification at Aultman Alliance Community Hospital in Alliance, Ohio. Dr. Albright then completed a one-year Advanced Foot and Ankle Surgery Fellowship with University Hospitals.

Dr. Albright has extensive training in complex pathologies, sports medicine, trauma, and surgical reconstruction of the foot and ankle. He is proud to serve his hometown community with their podiatry needs. His specialties include foot, ankle, and leg trauma; reconstructive surgery; flatfoot reconstruction; sports medicine; diabetic Charcot reconstruction; external fixation; sports injuries; arthroscopy; forefoot and rearfoot elective procedures; and diabetic limb salvage.

Outside of work, he enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife Kristen, his son Joey, and their boxer Rudy. Dr. Albright is one of six siblings who spend lots of time together throughout the week. In his free time, he enjoys cooking, hiking, golf, football, and chasing his two sons at the beach.
