Dr. Gita Patel was born and raised in Southern California and is board-certified in foot surgery.

She graduated from UCLA and earned her Bachelor of Science degree in physiological science. Shortly after completing her undergraduate degree, she moved to the Bay Area to begin her podiatry training in San Francisco.

Sports have always been an interest of hers, so after completing her surgical training, she did a one-year fellowship in sports medicine and surgery at the S.O.A.R Medicine Associates. During this time, she was able to work with all types of athletes, ranging from recreational to college and even professional levels. As a result of this experience, she has tailored her practice to treat all patients as “athletes”, with goals of getting them back to their desired level of activity as soon as possible.

Outside of her professional life, Dr. Patel and her family enjoy living an active lifestyle. They spend weekends at the soccer and softball fields and vacations traveling and exploring the country. They are heavily involved in supporting youth sports. Aside from holding board positions on local swim teams and softball leagues, she has been fortunate to coach her daughter’s softball team for the past eight years.

Dr. Patel proudly supports patients in both English and Gujarati.
