Dr. Anthony Nguyen is a podiatric physician with Bay Area Foot Care.
He earned his undergraduate degree in Chemistry from the University of California, San Diego in 2005. He received his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from the California College of Podiatric Medicine in San Francisco in 2009, where he was awarded the Timothy Holbrook Memorial Award of Excellence and the ProLab Orthotic Award. Dr. Nguyen completed his residency at Christiana Care Health Systems in Wilmington, Delaware in 2012, serving as Chief Resident. During residency, he earned The Medical Staff Clinical Award and The Paul Shaw Radiology Award for his work on “Accessory Muscles of the Ankle” and “Mycetoma of the Foot.” He also received specialized training at the Rubin Institute for Advanced Orthopaedics, International Center for Limb Lengthening in Baltimore, Maryland.
Dr. Nguyen treats a wide variety of foot and ankle conditions with particular interest in sports-related injuries, trauma, and reconstruction. He has mastered a range of surgical techniques and has specific training in traumatic injuries and limb reconstruction.
Outside of his practice, Dr. Nguyen is an avid tennis player and long-distance runner. He has a strong passion for food, enjoys traveling the world, and loves trying new restaurants.
Dr. Nguyen supports patients in English and Vietnamese.
