LOCATIONS:

Originally from Venezuela and growing up in Brooklyn, New York, Dr. Yessika Woo Lee, “Dr. Woo,” enjoys providing evidenced-based care for all foot and ankle issues. While she always knew she wanted to be a doctor, a foot injury after college inspired her toward becoming a podiatrist.

“I love being hands on,” said Dr. Woo. “I enjoy the different aspects and diversity that podiatry allows, which allows me to treat issues ranging from sports medicine to wound care.”

Dr. Woo earned her undergraduate degree in philosophy and biology from St. John’s University in New York. She attended the California Podiatric Medical College at Samuel Merritt University in Oakland for her Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine. She then completed her surgical residency at St. Mary’s Medical Center in San Francisco where she received training on foot and ankle trauma, sports medicine, and diabetic limb salvage.

“One of my favorite parts of my job is seeing the progress that folks make, whether that is healing wounds or getting rid of that pesky plantar fasciitis,” said Dr. Woo. “While it is helpful and beneficial to the patient when we are able to resolve their condition, it is personally a very satisfying experience as well.”

Outside of providing patient-centered care for those in need, Dr. Woo enjoys hiking, traveling, painting, and trying all the food the Bay Area has to offer.

Dr. Woo supports patients in both English and Spanish.
