Janelle Maravelias, DPM, MS

Dr. Janelle Maravelias provides patient-centered podiatric care to the Bay Area community.

Dr. Maravelias was born and raised in the Bay Area, only leaving the area to earn her Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from San Diego State University and her Master of Science degree in Medical Physiology from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio.

She earned her doctorate at the California School of Podiatric Medicine in Oakland and completed her surgical residency training at St. Mary’s Medical Center in San Francisco. During her residency training, she specialized in trauma, limb salvage, and elective foot and ankle surgery.

Dr. Maravelias believes the best patient care is centered around strong communication and always having the patient’s best interest at heart. She enjoys treating a wide variety of podiatric pathologies, and it is her goal to get every patient back to their pre-injury self as soon as possible.

In her free time, Dr. Maravelias enjoys spending time with her husband, children, and her large Italian-Greek extended family. She loves soaking up the California sun biking, wakeboarding, and snowboarding. Dr. Maravelias has a Labrador retriever and enjoys taking her for hikes and taking her to the dog park. She is a San Francisco Giants superfan and rarely misses a game.
