Dr. David Kahan is California born and raised and is the “old guy” at Sacramento Foot & Ankle Center.

Dr. Kahan completed his undergraduate studies in 1984 at the University of California at Davis (UC Davis) and graduated from the College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery (CPMS) in Des Moines, Iowa.
He has been practicing in the Sacramento area since 1995, specializing in the conservative care of most foot and ankle conditions, leaving surgery as a last resort.

One of his favorite quotes is from Theodore Roosevelt: “No one cares how much you know until they know how much you care.” This sentiment has been a practice mantra he continues to live by. As a result, he has garnered and is humbled by a reputation that sits atop the Google and Yelp ratings for podiatrists in the Sacramento area.

When not engaged with patients, Dr. Kahan enjoys family time with his wife and three grown boys, playing Pickle Ball, hiking, and studying comedy lines with which he can entertain his patients. He remains a Dodger, Angel, Rams and Kings (hockey) fan

He looks forward to working with his patients to help them maintain or improve their active lifestyles. He supports patients in both English and Spanish.
