Amanda Khoury, DPM, AACFAS, is a dedicated board-qualified podiatrist, conveniently located in San Francisco at Bay Area Foot Care’s Shrader Office. She is a fellowship-trained podiatric surgeon, practicing alongside Bay Area Foot Care’s skilled physicians.

Originally from Bay Shore, NY, Dr. Khoury graduated from Marist College with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences, graduating early in January 2015. She earned her medical degree in Podiatric Medicine from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine in New York in May 2019, where she was Valedictorian. Dr. Khoury went on to complete her podiatric surgical residency at Good Samaritan Hospital in West Islip, NY, and was trained by a multitude of podiatric and orthopedic surgeons. She gathered experience at a Level I trauma center, where she was exposed to trauma, sports medicine, reconstruction, wound care, inpatient, and outpatient podiatric care.

In addition to providing general podiatric care and podiatric surgery, Dr. Khoury is skilled in diabetic foot care and limb salvage. She has extensive background in wound care through her training at Good Samaritan Hospital and St. Catherine’s of Siena Hospital in Long Island, NY. Dr. Khoury’s fellowship training at Advanced Foot and Ankle Reconstructive Limb Salvage Fellowship in Salt Lake City, UT, included reconstructive limb salvage surgeries, inpatient and outpatient patient care, and emergency room calls for any podiatric foot needs. This ranged from diabetic foot infections to acute trauma of the foot and ankle.

Dr. Khoury specializes in Charcot Reconstruction and Advanced Diabetic Limb Salvage, taking on the most complex patient cases in the fight for better quality of life with the goal of extending patients’ lives by preventing lower extremity amputations. She implements the newest and most advanced techniques such as multiplanar external fixation, arthrodesis, and computer-assisted technology. Dr. Khoury is dedicated to education, presenting at many conferences such as at the National Convention by ACFAS, UPMA, Diabetic Limb Salvage Conference, and The National Conference by APMA. Dr. Khoury enjoys podiatry, because there is “a magical feeling when providing care so that patients walk comfortably again.”

Outside of her career as a podiatrist, Dr. Khoury is a former D1 Varsity Rower at Marist College who has a love for outdoor activities. When she’s not in the office, she enjoys international travel and has been to over 20 countries where she immersed herself in a variety of different cultures.
