A California native, Dr. David Wells grew up in Long Beach and is a board-certified podiatrist with Sacramento Foot and Ankle Center.
Dr. Wells received his Bachelor of Science in Biology at Biola University where he graduated Cum Laude. He states he was greatly influenced by a physician who was a past president of the American Podiatric Medical Association and decided to pursue a career in podiatry, which he finds extremely rewarding.
He graduated from the California College of Podiatric Medicine in San Francisco and finished his residency in Kansas City at Truman Medical Center in foot and ankle surgery. He worked for a year in Shawnee Mission, Kansas, before moving to Modesto, California, where he practiced for 33 years privately and in a medical group.
Certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery, he finds all aspects of general podiatry and podiatric surgery enjoyable. Particularly rewarding to him are limb salvage procedures for conditions such as wounds, ulcers, and infections including bone involvement.
Currently, Dr. Wells is a clinic-based, non-surgical provider, treating a whole array of common podiatric conditions that affect the musculoskeletal and dermatologic areas of the foot and ankle.
When not in the office Dr. Wells enjoys woodworking, golfing, hiking, traveling, and golf cart rides with his grandchildren.
