Dr. DeGuzman first became interested in Podiatry as a pre-medical student with foot and ankle pain. A podiatrist quickly diagnosed the issue. After successful treatment he was able to run his first marathon and knew that podiatry would be a great profession where he could work with people from all walks of life and all age groups.

Dr. DeGuzman grew up in Southern California where he obtained degrees in Economics and Biology with honors at the California State University at Northridge. Dr. DeGuzman then attended the California School of Podiatric Medicine. During his medical education he took an interim year to volunteer in Alaska where he was part of several grass roots community organizations helping at risk youth and children with special health care needs. He received residency training at DVA Palo Alto Health Care System, a teaching affiliate of Stanford University Hospital and Clinics. He obtained additional training at Kaiser San Jose Hospital.

He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Podiatric Medicine.

He is trained in all aspects of foot and ankle medicine/surgery, but takes particular interest in diabetic limb preservation, wound healing and preventative health.

After graduating residency, Dr. DeGuzman decided to call Stockton his home along with his wife, Angela and their four children. He enjoys getting to spend time with his family, exploring the outdoors and volunteering for various charitable organizations.
