Dr. Gerald Torgesen is a board-certified podiatric physician and surgeon with Las Vegas Foot and Ankle Centers. He has over 25 years of experience, with specialized expertise in the treatment of chronic, non-healing wounds in the foot and lower leg.
Originally from the Houston, Texas area, Dr. Torgesen earned his undergraduate degree in Spanish from Brigham Young University in 1994. He received his Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine from the California College of Podiatric Medicine in 1998. He completed his podiatric surgical residency at Northridge Hospital Medical Center in 2000.
Dr. Torgesen’s residency training emphasized diabetic limb salvage, reconstructive foot and ankle surgery, and lower extremity trauma. He is skilled in correcting bunion deformities, hammertoes, bone spurs, and other foot conditions. His wound care expertise includes the use of Tenex Health System’s minimally invasive ultrasonic treatment and Leneva plantar fat pad augmentation. He proudly serves a diverse patient population and is fluent in both English and Spanish.
Outside of work, Dr. Torgesen enjoys spending time with his six children, being outdoors, boating, woodworking, and home renovation projects.
