Dr. Daniel Preece is a podiatric physician with Advanced Foot & Ankle Center.
Dr. Preece completed his undergraduate degree at Utah State University in Logan, Utah. He earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from the California School of Podiatric Medicine in Oakland, graduating summa cum laude and as class valedictorian. He performed his residency through the Intermountain Medical Center (IMC) Podiatry Residency Program in Salt Lake City.
Dr. Preece is board-certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery® as well as a Certified Wound Specialist Physician by the American Board of Wound Management. He’s a member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons® and the American Podiatric Medicine Association, as well as a board member of the Utah Podiatric Medical Association. A volunteer faculty member at IMC Podiatry Residency Program, he provides surgical and clinical training for podiatry residents.
Dr. Preece specializes in wound care, Charcot reconstruction, sports injuries, and comprehensive foot and ankle care, with a strong focus on limb preservation and surgical outcomes. Dr. Preece places a large focus on humanitarian work in Tonga, where there is a huge need for diabetic wound and limb salvage care. His charity’s website: https://www.artgivinghope.org/ explains their efforts at providing diabetic screening and education as well as free wound care and foot and ankle surgeries when needed. They also ship donated medical supplies to the Tongan hospitals on a regular basis.
Outside of work, he enjoys traveling, backpacking, camping, and working outside with his wife of more than 20 years and his four children.
