A native of the San Francisco Bay Area, Dr. Anu Oberoi, DPM, is a surgical podiatrist at Sonoma County Orthopedic and Podiatric Specialists.
Dr. Oberoi received her undergraduate degree from the California State University in Sonoma and completed medical school at the California School of Podiatric Medicine. She went on to complete a three-year comprehensive foot and ankle surgical residency at the Charlie Norwood VAMC, affiliated with University Health in Augusta Georgia, where she served as Chief resident.
Dr. Oberoi believes all patients deserve the highest level of care and can expect commitment and compassion from their physician in a multidisciplinary care approach. Her philosophy involves giving each patient individualized personal attention. She believes in working with patients in a team approach to determine which treatment, both conservatively and surgically, is best to ensure the highest level of care.
Dr. Oberoi is passionate about helping people thrive through maintaining a healthy lifestyle and helping them get back on their feet. It is for this reason that she has continually volunteered at a number of active events, including the American Heart Association Heart Walk, Napa Valley Marathon, and Kaiser Permanente Marathons.
Dr. Oberoi believes in giving back and participates in yearly medical mission trips to Mexico through the nonprofit organization, Partners in Health. She is a member of numerous professional associations including, American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA), American Academy of Podiatric Practice Management, and California Podiatric Medical Association (CPMA).
Dr. Oberoi enjoys helping patients get back on their feet, at any age. She has a vast knowledge base of both clinical and surgical experience. She has participated in clinical trials in wound care and other foot- and ankle-related research. She specializes in both forefoot and rearfoot surgical procedures, and more complex problems such as trauma, sports medicine injuries. She also has a strong interest in diabetic wound care and limb salvage.
Dr. Oberoi lives in Sonoma County. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, hiking, DIY projects, cooking, and spending time with her husband, Roman, and their two pups, Charlie and Cruz.
