Dr. Amy Ross is a podiatric physician with Desert Foot and Ankle, dedicated to providing comprehensive, patient-centered foot and ankle treatment.

She earned her undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of Nevada, Reno in 2016. She received her Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine from Des Moines University’s College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery in 2020. Dr. Ross completed her Podiatric Medicine and Surgery Residency with Reconstructive Rearfoot/Ankle Surgery training at Creighton University/Valleywise Health Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona in 2023.

During residency, Dr. Ross gained extensive exposure to a broad spectrum of foot and ankle pathology, developing a strong clinical and surgical foundation with a thoughtful, patient-centered approach to care. She emphasizes exhausting conservative treatment options whenever appropriate prior to surgical intervention. Her interests include soft tissue injuries, tendon and ligament tears or ruptures, plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendonitis, soft tissue masses, regenerative and sports medicine, foot and ankle fractures, arthritis, bunions, hammertoes, and forefoot and rearfoot reconstruction. Dr. Ross is dedicated to helping patients return to function through individualized treatment plans grounded in evidence-based medicine, active lifestyles, and each patient’s personal goals throughout their recovery.

Dr. Ross has presented research on talar body fractures, Achilles tendon rupture, and midfoot arthritis at national conferences. She is board qualified in foot surgery and reconstructive rearfoot/ankle surgery by ABFAS® and is committed to helping patients return to function through individualized, evidence-based treatment plans grounded in active lifestyles and personal recovery goals.

Outside of work, Dr. Ross enjoys gardening, crafting, playing pickleball and spending quality time with her husband, their Belgian Malinois, Flat-Coated Retriever, and her residency cat. She also enjoys discovering new restaurants, cultural and food events, and wines to experience.
